Consuming Approximately Thirty Minutes
 
Fall In. Count fours.
Anyone who feels incapable of riding at No.  1 or 4, change positions.
Fours right, March.
Column right, March,
Column of twos,
March.
Column of troopers, March. Column of fours,
March. Column of troopers, March.
Trot, March.
Column of twos, March.
Column of fours, March.
Column of troopers, March.
Change hands. (At the next corner, the column moves diagonally across the arena and changes direction.)
Walk, March.
Release stirrups.
Slow trot, March (Once around ring).
Walk, March.
Half-turn.
Troopers circle to the left.
Half-turn and reverse.
Half-turn.
Troopers circle to the right.
Half-turn and reverse.
Take stirrups.
 
From front to rear count threes.
Trot, March.
By threes, by the left flank, March
(Track right at end of hall).
By threes, by the right flank, March
(Track left at end of hall).
Column of fours, March.
Walk, March.
Fours left, March.
Troop, Halt.
Column of fours from the right, Trot
March.
Column right, March. Column of twos, March. Column of troopers, March.
(At the middle of one end of the ring) Column Right, March.
(At opposite end of ring) Troopers left and right.

Columns half left and half right (When leading troopers on each side reach end of ring. This produces a cross-over or criss-cross in the center of the ring).

Columns half left and half right (Double back).

(At end of ring) Column of twos. Twos, left and right. (Twos) Columns half left and half  right (Criss-cross).

(Twos) Columns half left and half right (Double back).
 
(Caution—"Even fours left, odd fours right".)
 
(At end of ring) Column of fours.           (At end of ring) Line, March.
Fours, left and right.                              Walk, March.
(Fours) Columns half left and half          Troop, Halt.
right (Criss-cross).                                Lead out from the right and ride at
(Fours) Columns half left and half        will—cool your horses.
right (Double back).

NOTE: If desired, with an advanced group, movements indicated at a walk may be at a trot and those indicated at a trot may be at a canter (collected gallop).
